My wife and I both had laser assisted tri-focal lens replacement in early September. The results have been fantastic and we can both see perfectly without glasses. The team at Praga are extremely professional and we were chaperoned by charming English speaking hosts for each visit. We took the optional hospitality package and everything went very smoothly with taxis arriving on cue. The only early downside is the “ringing” effect round bright lights but this is only mildly irritating and was expected. It also seems to be diminishing as time passes and it’s only 3 weeks since the procedures. The entire process was quiet literally painless and no more worrying than a trip to the dentist!

Mr. Tom Keppel needed special HYPERMETROPIC TORIC ICL lenses (Phakic lens). These lenses had to be tailor made for him. After the surgery on Mr. Keppel’s second eye, he was able to get rid of his glasses, which he had worn since he was a child. Review – Vision correction – Cataract with RLE Trifocal Lens
This is this second time I have been to this clinic, first time with my daughter who had a crown put in a front tooth she broke, while jogging. That was last year, her crown is beautiful, needless to say when part of my filling broke off and some tooth with it, I knew I would be making a trip to Prague. So this past week Sept. 21, 2017, I drove to Prague from Germany early in the morning because: I was having a crown done in 1 day!! Dr. Malychin and his team, worked all morning saving part of my tooth and with a new technic, I got partial filling and crown. Saved my tooth!! Best team work!! and gracious personnel. I will be returning next yr. with my husband. Oh, I do not speak Czech, they all speak better English then I do. I am from Washington State, USA and 73 yrs old.

Review – Dentistry – Dental Crowns
It’s an absolute pleasure to be able to write about my experience, more so because I am doing this without glasses. My experience began when I broke my varifocal glasses yet again and looked into the benefits of laser surgery on line. An online enquiry soon became a bit of a pressure sales call from, shall we say, a well known English laser surgery provider. I learnt at this stage that laser surgery comes second place to lens replacement when you are older than 55 and at a young 67 years of age it caught my attention. The ‘English’ company would have been good no doubt but the cost is high. I came across Praga Medica when I did a little research and was comforted by the more affordable cost and a long list of positive testimonials to which I must now add my own. As an engineer my inclination to choose a surgeon to operate on me would favour someone who has plenty of clinical experience and I’m sure the English clinic does not get the level of practical experience and success rates as you have in Prague. When I had thoroughly looked into the science of the lenses and the surgery involved I was convinced Prague would be my best choice. I am only 4 days from my last operation with total improvement for reading and long range and best of all glasses free. The day after my second eye operation I flew home to Birmingham via Frankfurt. Flight delays threatened to make me miss my transfer connection but I had 15 minutes to make a 22 minute transfer to the next gate and had to run. I was reading all the airport signs, near and distant with ease and made the gallop in 12 minutes with no fumbling for glasses or missing any signage, and then read on the plane without glasses. I couldn’t have been more delighted with the result.
Some notes about my trip.
I was met by Petr at the airport (I arrived late I might add), and the first safe pair of hands I met on the way who drove me to my Hotel and issued me with a mobile phone before departing.
Next day I was collected at my hotel by Anna, an English speaking student and part time employee of the Clinic. She was a treasure, and was on hand as back up translator as I progressed through the pre-operative assessment of my eyes.
I was quickly shepherded from room to room with modern and dedicated eye measuring and examination equipment. In between each test I briefly joined others on the hall seating before they were ushered into the next room. No-one was kept waiting. The results of our tests were ready and in front of the doctor in the final room who did one last inspection and said I was good to go. I then had a lovely day out wandering around Prague – such a beautiful city to visit and marvellous bonus to the trip.
I had elected for a medical in Prague and the clinic booked a cab to take me and another patient across the city for a full medical. Unfortunately the cab driver was not a good one (we’ve all had one of those) and dumped us on a corner pointing the way but it was clearly not the destination. The phone came in so useful here. Another translator guide, a really helpful guy called Dominik, tracked us down, (running all the way – oh what it is to be fit and young!) and scooped us up. Dominik and Anna popped up all week and were so helpful and deserve my thanks as much as the full timers.
Anna collected me on operation day and delivered me back afterwards and was so encouraging. (Would that I was 50 years younger!) Thanks Anna.
The operation is easy and painless. You are sat in a waiting area for about half an hour during which dilating drops and antiseptic drops are regularly applied. Anaesthetic drops are applied just before you enter theatre. The procedure lasts about 10 minutes, is painless and is no more than a weird light show as the old lens is removed and new one fitted. A patch goes over your eye and comes off next morning and for me the improvement was staggering. Improvement continues over the following weeks as the eyes settle to their new purpose but everyone I met at the check up next day was delighted with the result. I had the trifocal lenses which have made all ranges of vision sharper. At a distance, points of light (like headlights and traffic lights) do now have a slight halo effect but now I have stopped looking towards the phenomena I don’t find it distracting. If anyone does find this distracting you can wear a polarised filter spectacle (e.g. for driving) which works well but isn’t in the least essential. It is now 4 days since final operation and I am on a strict eye drop regime (to guard against infection) but feel everything is healed. Variations in light levels (when outside) take a bit of getting used to at the moment but they are settling down and at this rate will soon be gone.
Thanks to everyone on your team, surgeons, doctors, technicians, guides and driver. I will be telling everyone to check you out. My only regret – I didn’t get to see Katerina, who I spoke to and emailed to set up the visit. If she looks as good, kind and helpful as she sounds I have missed a treat.
So finally – Katerina – a great big thank you from me.

Reviews – Vision correction – RLE with Multifocal lens
I had lens replacement surgery in July. Everything was well organised from the very start and I felt very confident and well supported, from John picking me up at the airport to Helena and Anna taking me for the various check ups and explaining everything so clearly.
I was thrilled when the first eye patch was removed and I reaslised I would be able to see clearly for the first time in my life.
I am now 6 weeks post op and both eyes have settled down very well. The biggest adjustment has been to learn that I dont need to reach for glassess the second that I wake up! I have been talking about getting this done for over two years but the cost in the UK held me back. At just under half price including my flights, I can say that this is the best present I have ever given myself.
I really am thrilled with the results

“I am very happy that I found this place”
“Before I decided on going to see Dr. Teleshman I went to several clinics in Prague. Even though the other clinics were respectable and the staff were nice, I felt that at Praga Medica I would be taken care of and I was right. This was by far the best experience I have ever had with a dentist and I am extremely scared of going to the dentist so that says a lot. No pain and I felt completely safe in Dr. Teleshman’s hands.
Everyone at the clinic was welcoming and accommodating, friendly and informative, especially Natalie! They took the time to answer my many nervous questions. I would not hesitate to recommend this dental clinic. I am very happy that I found this place.”

Review – Laser Eye Surgery – IntraLASIK Wavefront
Being open about undergoing IVF is not very common especially when it comes to stars. But some stars wanted to be open about it and tell their experience to the world and want to pursue a movement of not being ashamed of undergoing IVF.
These are the stars that have undergone IVF and were not afraid to talk about it.
The famous TV reality star Kim Kardashian has given birth to her first child without any problems. However to get a second child she had to undergo IVF several times. She described in the TV show Keeping up with the Kardashians that it was an emotional rollercoaster for her as sometimes she was sure that this time it will work and other times, she just runs out of the doctor’s office hysterically crying. Her husband Kenya West ( famous rapper and self-proclaimed presidential candidate) has said “Trying for baby number two isn’t as fun as trying for baby number one.” Their son Saint West was born on the 5th of December 2015.
The star of Friends Courtney Cox underwent IVF while filming Friends and she had several miscarriages before doctors found out that a rare antibody in her blood prevented pregnancies from reaching full term. She said in an interview with NBC “I remember one time I just had a miscarriage and Rachel was giving birth,” She had two miscarriages before she was pregnant with her daughter and she was open about how hard was it for her to film a sitcom while suffering repeated miscarriages.
The star of the famous sex in the city tv series Sarah Jessica Parker also underwent IVF. She gave birth to her oldest son in 2002 and to her twin daughters in 2009. Her twin daughters were born thanks to IVF and she says that when she saw them in the hospital room for the first time that it was unlike anything else she had ever experienced. She says “Meeting your children rather than giving birth to them, it’s as if, um, it’s, ” she said to Vogue. “The IVF experience is gone. It’s as if everything else disappears for a moment, and the world goes silent and — I can’t explain it except to say that nothing else existed.”
Nicole Kidman adopted with her ex-husband Tom Cruise two children. With her current husband, she conceived and gave birth to their first daughter in 2008 after she tried many IVF treatments but failed and had to find a gestational carrier (a woman who carries another couple’s fertilized embryo) and in 2011 she gave birth to a second biological child.
Brooke Shields is perhaps the most open star about IVF. She wrote about her her struggle to get pregnant and her postpartum depression in her 2005 book Down Came The Rain. She was 36 when she underwent IVF for the first time. She failed many times and she experienced many miscarriages until she decided to give it a shot for the last time in 2002 and it was a success and she gave birth to her daughter in 2003. She ended up conceiving again and gave birth to her daughter in 2006.
Celine Dion’s IVF was successful after the sixth attempted. She gave birth to her son René-Charles in 2000. 10 years later she also undergoes IVF to conceive her twin boys Eddy and Nelson. Dion told to Hello! Canada magazine “IVF is difficult emotionally,”
The famous singer Mariah Carey has also opened up about her IVF story. She has had several miscarriages before that’s why she was advised to undergo IVF. In 2011 she was blessed to give birth to her twins Moroccan and Monroe. She has famously nicknamed them “Dem Babies.”
All of the celebrities above have agreed that it is not something to be ashamed of and that if people were perhaps more open about it, then undergoing IVF might be a less stressful experience as well as many people would be surprised by the fact how many people have undergone IVF.
I had my surgery in July: FemtoLASIK Basic. Between the first contact and the actual surgery, it took about a month. The initial eye check-up, to see if I’m eligible for the surgery, was very thorough. I was a bit nervous, but they checked everything, it lasted about 3 hours and they covered all the basis. There was someone from Praga Medica there that stayed with me the whole time, translated and made me feel comfortable. It was all very thorough and professional.
The surgery in itself went very well. They gave me drops that numb the pain, you don’t feel anything, just a bit of discomfort: it lasts about 15 to 20 mins.
Then you go home, take the sleeping they give you, and wake up to a whole new world.
There’s a post-op check-up, they tell you what to do and how to do it.
Verdict: Best decision of my life, it’s life-changing and I’m so grateful to Praga Medica and Duovize. I’ve been recommending it to all my colleagues, and some of them will be doing it later this year.

Review – Vision correction – LASIK
I had a fantastic experience from start to finish with Praga Medica. I did a lot of research prior to booking anything and I had a consultation with a major high-street name. I found the UK company extremely sales-focussed and it did not inspire trust. Conversely Praga Medica were the definition of professionalism from the word go. They did not once chase me for a decision, not once encourage me to go for the procedure, they simply answered all my questions in a clear and concise manner.
As I type this I am 2 and a half weeks after my operation and my vision is fantastic, quite comfortably as good as when I was wearing glasses but without the inconvenience. I had the Relax Smile treatment, and the procedure itself was less than 20 minutes for both eyes. Following the operation I was on eye drops, which were not a problem at all. Vision generally improved day on day, which I understand is the norm which Relax – it can take up to 6 weeks for full recovery. Right now however, 2 and a half weeks port-op, I am delighted. I had my operation on the Friday and was driving without issue on the Sunday.
I am also very comforted by the fact that they offer lifetime aftercare. Whilst I do not anticipate any problems, this is a nice thing to have for peace of mind.
I would thoroughly recommend Praga Medica. My thanks to Helena for her patience in answering questions, and to Monika and others for helping me on the day of the operation!

Just got back from Prague and what a excellent service from start to finish, I had lens replacement surgery and yes I was worried but honestly there was no need at all I was met at my hotel by Sharka and walked to DuoVize where all the eye tests were done, everyone was so lovely, then on the Tuesday I was met again and taken for my medical ready for the surgery in the afternoon, at the clinic you have to take some different clothes and socks, all types of drops are put in your eyes, then after about 1.5 hours I was ready, I Sat in the chair at 14.05 and was done by 14.17, amazing!!!! I didn’t remove my pad until the next day but when I did….. I even read the cricket scores on my hubby’s phone lol,, the same happened on the Fri, Prague is an amazing city, so clean and so much history, we will definitely return (no surgery next time), I’m driving already, yes I have halos but nothing at all to worry about,, The treatment I received from everyone was honestly 2nd to none, please don’t hesitate, it’s so good to be writing this with NO GLASSES!!! And my new left eye is 1 week old today. I had the transfer package for 90 euro, worth every penny.

Praga Medica facilitated my trip to Prague for Intraocular Lens replacement – like cataract surgery. I had very short sight (-7.5 and -9) and mild cataracts and needed reading glasses but not bad enough to have done on the NHS. Including my flight, hotel and treatment it worked out at about half the cost of treatment in the UK.
Praga Medica were exceptionally helpful with staff in attendance at the clinic when translation was needed for the very comprehensive tests before operations though most people did speak good English. As for the operations I can honestly say I experienced no soreness or discomfort afterwards which speaks volumes about the surgeon Dr Tovarek. I opted for the Femto Laser assisted surgery which cost an additional 1300 euros but if my recovery time is anything to go by is well worth it.
I opted for the simplicity of Mono-focal lens being wary of the side effects and recovery time of multifocals and am amazed I can see normally and without reading glasses for the first time since the age of 7. I am sure eventually I will have to use reading glasses but aged 61 I am very happy with this transformation.
Overall I can highly recommend using Praga Medica to facilitate surgery in Prague – of course the added upside is visiting a lovely city

I feel that one of the best decisions of my life was to travel to Prague through Praha Medica for IVF. I am 45 and my husband is 48, and we got pregnant through IVF Europe. I would recommend this company
I have had IVF in the UK but recently went to Prague for egg donation. As I knew what to expect having gone through the process previously, it was very straight forward. I am now 11 weeks pregnant and very excited for the future. I would definitely recommend this company to others. I only wish I had decided to do this earlier.

Helena was amazing, emailing me back quickly to answer my questions and confirm times and details, she was very friendly when we met and made me feel welcome and relaxed.
I would recommend Praga Medica to anyone thinking about having laser eye surgery.

I had a great experience with praga medica. I was very well taken care of by doctor vadym. I was scheduled to have a dental implant, however it was discovered that my sinus bone had regressed to such an extent that a more extensive sinus graft was required. All the details of the operation were clearly explained to me and I was not charged extra for the procedure which took 3 hours.
Doctor vadym was very kind and was at pains to ensure I followed the after care guidelines, contacting me regularly. I’m looking forward to completing the implant procedure in a few months time.

Mama June from popular TLC show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo has lost over 320 pounds with the aid of doctors.
Mama June (June Shannon) is famous for being a mother of Honey Boo Boo (Alana Thomson). Honey Boo Boo had her own Tv show on TLC called Here Comes Honey Boo Boo where audience watched how Honey Boo Boo lives and mainly following her beauty pageant career.
The show ended as there were rumors about Mama June’s new boyfriend being a criminal.
In Here Comes Honey Boo Boo she had a boyfriend who was Honey Boo Boo’s father called Sugar Bear (Mike Thomson) who has cheated several times and decided to marry someone else even after having a child with her and living with Mama June for 11 years. The new girlfriend of Sugar Bear decided to invite Mama June to his wedding to make her Jealous and that was when Mama June has decided to lose weight and to look fabulous on the wedding in order to make sugar bear jealous. This is why she became a part of a tv show Called Mama June from not to hot.
At the start of the Journey she weighed 460 pounds and now she weighs only 138 pounds. She used to be size 24 and now she is size 4. This is 322 pounds weight loss. Such a big weight loss would not have been possible without doctors help, motivation and a set date to lose weight.
The goal date of her weight loss was sugar bear’s wedding and the motivation was not only to make him jealous but also to feel better about herself and to fit into a red dress that she has bought.
This all helped her to lose weight however the biggest aid for her weight loss were medical procedures she had done. She had in total three operations for which she had to lose a certain amount of weight to undergo such operations.
— Mama June (@MamaJune_BooBoo) 7. března 2014
Her first surgery was a gastric sleeve surgery. Gastric sleeve is a surgery where more than a half of the stomach is removed in order to make patient fuller even when eating less. This is because the stomach after this operation is the size of a Banana and looks like a sleeve hence the name gastric sleeve surgery. This surgery prevents eating more than needed.
After the first surgery, Mama June had to work to lose weight. When she was around 200 pounds she realized that most of her body that makes her look fat is just excess skin and fat that can’t be burned down by exercise and right diet. This is why she sought medical help to tell her what she should do with the excess skin on her stomach and on her chin and arms.
The doctor told her that she will have to undergo a tummy tuck surgery in order to get rid of the unwanted tissue on her stomach and make it flat. A tummy tuck is a cosmetic surgery at which the abdomen is made more firm and thinner. The surgery involves fat and skin removal from the abdomen area. It is recommended for a patient after a significant weight loss and for women after child birth. Mama June fulfilled both of the requirements, she had a lost a lot of weight and she has 4 children.
As well as that Mama June also wanted to know how to get rid of her bat wings (excess fat and skin on the upper arms) and her double chin. For this the of problem, the doctor has recommended another operation which will combine an upper arm lift and double chin liposuction and a lift.
This all sounded great for Mama June however the doctor has told her that she needs to work hard and lose 10 pounds in order to get the tummy tuck surgery. This was also a moment where Mama June has noticed that her breasts are of smaller size and that they have become saggy that’s why she has decided for a breast uplift and for augmentation with breast implants to make her breast look bigger.
— Mama June (@MamaJune_BooBoo) 1. dubna 2017
After losing 10 pounds she first underwent tummy tuck surgery in a combination of breasts uplift and also breasts augmentation with implants. After the operation, she felt sore for a while but she said it was worth it and decided to go for a next operation which was 3 weeks after. The third and last operation was a combination of upper arm uplift to get rid of her bat wings and double chin liposuction and uplift.
After these two operations, she has felt even more motivated and thus lost even more weight. She has shocked the world with such an extreme weight loss and mainly she has shocked sugar bears wife and Mama June’s family.
She is very confident now and says that she is looking the exact same way as she felt like she was looking like. She has decided to make her family to lose weigh with her aid, mainly her daughter Honey Boo Boo. With her extreme weight loss, she has gained more fans, became more popular and she was voted for the best beach body in weight loss.
