Frequently Asked Questions

What pre-operative examinations are always done at the clinic?

These pre-surgical examinations will be carried out after you are received by the hospital: blood picture, coagulation, blood group, kidney and liver function, minerals, glycaemia, inflammation markers, urine, ECG, lung x-ray and x-ray of the affected joint. Afterwards, your state of health and any results will be evaluated by a specialist in internal medicine who will assess your ability for undergoing the surgery as well as the risk level. Prior to the exertion itself, you will also be examined by an orthopaedist – i.e. the surgeon and the anaesthesiologist.
