    What is the process of laser surgery?

    After all necessary administrative issues are dealt with at the reception desk, you will be seated in a comfortable seat where the eye will get totally insensitive with anaesthetic drops within approximately 10 minutes. This is followed by an interview with the doctor and then by the actual surgery. The surgery takes place in lying position on a comfortable couch. You don't need to worry about how you will manage not to blink or move your eye for the whole surgery. Your eyelids will be gently held by a flexible device and eye movements will be compensated with a guidance system of the laser. The whole procedure does not normally take more than 15 to 20 minutes. The actual operation of the laser takes on average 30 seconds. The real length depends on the number of diopters, whereas the minimum is cca 5 seconds and the maximum is about 1 minute. After another 20 to 30 minutes spent in the comfortable seat, the doctor will check the condition of your eyes, give you eye drops and instruct you about what to do in the following hours. On the day of the treatment, you will spend the total of 90 to 120 minutes at the clinic.
