A friend recommended Praga Medica. My query was responded to very quickly with helpful suggestions and questions. I made one trip to
Prague for a comprehensive eye exam. I had a cataract. I have very difficult eyes to fit because of high diopter near-sightedness and
severe astigmatism. I returned in two months for the surgery. It was very quick and painless. I was worried that the surgeon would
have difficulty in getting the axis correct on the astigmatism aspect. But he assured me he had done thousands. The end result was
simply amazing. I now have 20/20 in that eye – distant. It is the first time I’ve been without glasses in 52 years! They told me
beforehand that I would need to use simple reading glasses and so is the case. I never had any post-op problems, no pain, no
infections. I’m very happy. Also, I would highly recommend the Andel Apartments. Getting to the eye clinic is very easy on trams 10
or 16 to the I.P Pavlova station. The apartment is very well kept up and warm in a beautiful location. There are plenty of restaurants
and a large Tesco market very close by. Finally, I very much appreciated the personal service of Zdenek. He made the whole
experience a very easy one in picking me up, dropping me off, giving me reliable information and a cell phone (which I didn’t think I
would need but it did come in handy), and always being there for my calls for help. He is fluent in English and an unfailingly cheerful
fellow. Thanks, Zdenek!

I would like to say a big thank you to Zdenek and Ales for giving me such excellent service whilst in Prague. Everything went perfectly from the first phone call to the return transfer back to the airport. Having them to take me to the clinics meant everything went smoothly and stress free. The doctors and clinic staff spoke very good English so I understood perfectly what was happening to me. I had two procedures performed. The first being Intraocular surgery. After needing glasses for between 25 -30 years I now have perfect vision. This procedure was completely pain free.

Were you pleased with the treatment?

A bit difficult to describe, but I will try: -Plan was to change both eyes to multifocal prelex -Before starting the lense exchange the doc. discovered that my left eye had an unusual cataract or something else and the operation was not performed -Very quickly next morning I was helped into the public hospital which had all the special equipment and the staff to check it out. Nothing dangerous was found and I went through the operation later. The operated eye is working OK after 3 weeks, but might need some adjustment for astigmatism. I am very pleased with the way my extra problem was handled – I will go back this summer to have my other eye operated as well.
