Praga Medica did ask me if it would be ok for you to contact me and I have to say that I’ve been delighted with both the service from Praga Medica and the eye clinic.  We arrived in Prague on Sunday 15th May 2011 and left on Tuesday 24th May 2011.

Firstly:- Praga Medica.

I, like you, was quite apprehensive about what to expect. Zdenek met us from the plane, took us to the hotel, gave us a mobile phone with some credit on it, gave us tram tickets for the following morning visit, accompanied us to the eye doctor, who  gave me a full optical examination and an ECG and a full blood test.  He then took us to show the location of the eye clinic which would do the operation the following morning, and then took us to the dentist and then made the introduction.  We used the mobile once simply to arrange a time to pick us up and take us to the airport.

I can’t fault this young man for his enthusiasm, his manner and his professionalism  – 10 out of 10.

Secondly:-  the eye clinic

I arrived at 10.30 for the op. on Tuesday 17th May – had a check-up the following day and full optical examination and a final check-up on Monday 23rd. May 2011.   Very friendly staff – modern equipment – lots of young people.

1 1/2 hrs later having had the op. in a theatre with ultra modern equipment and very efficient.

With regard to the lens I chose, my vision in my right eye is excellent, and I chose just the standard clear lens as it seems to be the lens which causes least troubles, so I still need to use reading glasses. Within 4 hours my vision was 90 % clear and 100% within 36 hours.   I have to score them 10 out of 10 as well.

If you want to know about the dentist please email me back but I can tell you it was just as good. I made a saving of about €1700 over the eye and teeth which paid for a great holiday.
