I would have no hesitation in recommending this company. I made the initial enquiry in March and spoke with Veronika was extremely helpful and efficient in responding to my queries. I travelled with a friend and we were met at the airport by Veronika and then taken to our Apartment. We stayed the Andel apartments which were in a great location and only a 5 minute walk from the Clinic. The first morning Veronika met with us and came with us to the hospital, it was then I met with my surgeon Dr Padera and had my consultation. Everyone at the clinic including the surgeon were fantastic and made me feel totally at ease, the Clinic itself is immaculate. The procedure went extremely well and two weeks on I am ecstatic with the results. Like most people I felt uneasy about going abroad for surgery, but there was honestly nothing to worry about, in fact we are going back in September for my friend’s surgery.

Myself and my husband contact Praga Medica Agency in Czech Republic. Zdenek, our co-ordinator direct us to the Gest clinic in Prague for IUI treatment.

Zdenek book our 1st appointment with the clinic. We were seen by Dr Alexander. When we arrive at the clinic, we were greet by Dr Alexander. He explain the procedure of what we expect in the next five days of the treatment. i’ll gonna have two inseminations within 48 hours. What myself and my husband were really appreciated of Dr Alexander, that he told us before the treatment, that chances are 10% for IUI treatment. Which was a big difference of other agencies offering (34%-most likely over exaggerated) Zdenek also came to the clinic.

He offer ua a lift back to the city which was very nice from him. Unfortunately, our IUI treatment wasn’t successful. But, overall, we had a positive experience with the clinic in Prague.

We’re definitely going back again and have another try with the IUI.

A friend recommended Praga Medica. My query was responded to very quickly with helpful suggestions and questions. I made one trip to
Prague for a comprehensive eye exam. I had a cataract. I have very difficult eyes to fit because of high diopter near-sightedness and
severe astigmatism. I returned in two months for the surgery. It was very quick and painless. I was worried that the surgeon would
have difficulty in getting the axis correct on the astigmatism aspect. But he assured me he had done thousands. The end result was
simply amazing. I now have 20/20 in that eye – distant. It is the first time I’ve been without glasses in 52 years! They told me
beforehand that I would need to use simple reading glasses and so is the case. I never had any post-op problems, no pain, no
infections. I’m very happy. Also, I would highly recommend the Andel Apartments. Getting to the eye clinic is very easy on trams 10
or 16 to the I.P Pavlova station. The apartment is very well kept up and warm in a beautiful location. There are plenty of restaurants
and a large Tesco market very close by. Finally, I very much appreciated the personal service of Zdenek. He made the whole
experience a very easy one in picking me up, dropping me off, giving me reliable information and a cell phone (which I didn’t think I
would need but it did come in handy), and always being there for my calls for help. He is fluent in English and an unfailingly cheerful

Thank you Zdenek. You were invaluable. We were booked in for IVF treatment and although the treatment was unsuccessful, the clinic had all the mod cons and expertise. Zdenek was the contact person who replied to emails very promptly and was amazing during the visit in terms of information and just his general ease and friendliness, which gave great reassurance. Zdenek explained everything to us, translated from the specalists, and was on call for any queries during our stay. Praga Medica did ask me if it would be ok for you to contact me and I have to say that I’ve been delighted with both the service from Praga Medica and the eye clinic. We arrived in Prague on Sunday 15th May 2011 and left on Tuesday 24th May 2011.

Firstly:- Praga Medica.

I, like you, was quite apprehensive about what to expect. Zdenek met us from the plane, took us to the hotel, gave us a mobile phone with some credit on it, gave us tram tickets for the following morning visit, accompanied us to the eye doctor, who gave me a full optical examination and an ECG and a full blood test. He then took us to show the location of the eye clinic which would do the operation the following morning, and then took us to the dentist and then made the introduction. We used the mobile once simply to arrange a time to pick us up and take us to the airport.

I can’t fault this young man for his enthusiasm, his manner and his professionalism – 10 out of 10.

Secondly:- the eye clinic

I arrived at 10.30 for the op. on Tuesday 17th May – had a check-up the following day and full optical examination and a final check-up on Monday 23rd. May 2011. Very friendly staff – modern equipment – lots of young people.

1 1/2 hrs later having had the op. in a theatre with ultra modern equipment and very efficient.

With regard to the lens I chose, my vision in my right eye is excellent, and I chose just the standard clear lens as it seems to be the lens which causes least troubles, so I still need to use reading glasses. Within 4 hours my vision was 90 % clear and 100% within 36 hours. I have to score them 10 out of 10 as well.

If you want to know about the dentist please email me back but I can tell you it was just as good. I made a saving of about €1700 over the eye and teeth which paid for a great holiday.

If you need any more information don’t hesitate but be assured this is the best you’ll get.

A bit difficult to describe, but I will try: -Plan was to change both eyes to multifocal prelex -Before starting the lense exchange the doc. discovered that my left eye had an unusual cataract or something else and the operation was not performed -Very quickly next morning I was helped into the public hospital which had all the special equipment and the staff to check it out. Nothing dangerous was found and I went through the operation later. The operated eye is working OK after 3 weeks, but might need some adjustment for astigmatism. I am very pleased with the way my extra problem was handled – I will go back this summer to have my other eye operated as well.

Why is it so affordable?

There are two medical systems in the Czech Republic, a publicly funded system (which is essentially free to Czech residents), and a private system for those who are willing to pay for top level health care. The Czech medical system is not, therefore, exposed to the potential ill effects of an overpowerful health insurance industry, as market prices are influenced by the Czech government, it being the biggest funder of health care in the country.

This article is related to septoplasty, deviated nasal septum, nose breathing difficulties, stuffed nose, sinusitis and sleep disorders.

Introduction
Nose breathing should be natural to any of us. Unfortunately we are not perfect and many of us suffer from “obstructed” nasal airways. This may result in noisy breathing, stuffed nose but also headaches, sinusitis and sleep disorders such as sleep apnea.

If nose breathing difficulty occurs from time to time, it may be a result of some kind of allergy, seasonal cold etc. However, any long-lasting and repeated occurrences are a good reason to visit your doctor.

What is Deviated Nasal Septum
A common cause is a deviated nasal septum, in other words your nasal bone blocks your nasal airways and obstructs the natural airflow. It is most frequently caused by impact trauma, such as by a blow to the face.

Treatment
In most cases a deviated septum can be corrected with a minor surgical procedure known as a septoplasty. An alternative to a septoplasty is a laser treatment offered by some clinics but it unfortunately does not produce long-term results and it is more related to people suffering from chronic colds.

Septoplasty is a minor surgical procedure that takes aprx. 1 hour. A pacient usually remains two days in hospital before being sent home. Tissues are removed on the second day after the surgery. It takes about a week before air passages are cleared and one month to a full recovery. Regular checks are required during the first 4 weeks.

Prague (Praha) is fast becoming one of the most popular destinations for medical tourism. This comes as no surprise given the fact that this beautiful city offers high quality treatment at very affordable prices.

Introduction

Prague is the capital and the biggest city in the Czech Republic with a population of just over 1.2 million. It is situated on the Vltava river in the heart of the Czech Republic. Since 1992, it has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites, becoming one of the most popular destinations in Europe with over 4 million visitors annually.

History

Prague history spans thousand of years. It boasts of numerous historical monuments and places. Places such as the Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, Old Town Square with its astronomical clock, Vysehrad Castle, Lesser town and National Theatre should not be missed by any visitor.

Things you should know

The official language is the Czech language. However Prague is a very cosmopolitan city and many local people speak good English. A few words that may be useful: prosim (please), dekuji (thank you), pivo (beer), jizdenka (ticket), dobry den (hello).

Local currency is Koruna (Czech crown). There are many bureau de change and all major credit cards are also accepted in shops and restaurants. Best exchange rates are offered by bureaus in the city centre around Mustek metro station.

Prague has a very good public transport system. Trams, buses and metro will get you anywhere you need. There are three metro lines that intersect in the city centre, stations called Muzeum and Mustek. Fares can be found on http://www.dpp.cz/en/fares-in-prague/

Prague is still very cheap in comparison to other European capitals. However be prepared to pay similar prices if you are in the touristy areas. An average meal in a restaurant will cost you around 5-6 euros, a pint of beer around 1 euro.

In all, I have had a truely great experience here in Prague. I have fallen in love with the city of Prague and its people.
