The General Health Examination is performed together with eye examination at least 24 hours before your Eye Surgery in Prague and it should not be older than 2 weeks.
If you prefer to have the examination done before you come to Prague, we can refer you to your general practitioner with a pre-operational internal examination request. The results of the examination have to be brought along to the eye clinic on the day of the surgery.
Required examinations:
1. ECG
2. Blood Picture
3. Urinalysis
4. Glycemia, we would like to have a doctor´s/diabetologist´s opinion in insulin-treated diabetic patients

The medical report must contain an examination assessment and a conclusion whether the patient is able to undergo surgery in local anesthesia. Also, there has to be recommended internal medication including an insulin schedule if appropriate. The patient has to bring along the laboratory examination results and the medical report not older than 14 days. Unfortunately, a patient with an acute respiration disease or a patient with cardiac, respiratory or metabolic decompensation cannot be accepted for the planned eye surgery.
If you are not sure whether you wish to book the examination in Prague or bring it from home you can decide later. We just need to know at least a week before your arrival!
