Eye Surgery Abroad - Options
Which surgery to choose?
Our specialists can find suitable surgery for 9 out of 10 patients. We will choose the best surgery for you on the basis of the number of diopters and other eye parameters, always according to your needs and preferences. All laser and non-laser eye surgery is performed in an ambulatory setting. The most common treatment is laser surgery.
The most favourite are intraLASIK and intraLASIK Wavefront surgery that creates the protective layer in the form of corneal flap by means of femtosecond laser, without using any sharp instruments. These types of surgery are chosen by 96% of our patients. Especially by those who prefer the highest quality, comfort and safety.
Non-laser surgery can be more suitable for patients with more serious disorders, for elder patients and for patients whose main problem is reading glasses. ICL implantation is a perfect solution for patients under 40 with prescriptions beyond the scope of laser surgery or with a thin cornea.
We recommend so-called RLE lens refractive exchange to patients over 40 with prescriptions beyond the scope of laser surgery.
If the main priority of the patient is to remove glasses to see up close, we sometimes prefer the PRELEX method, which is refractive lens exchange combined with multifocal intraocular lens implantation.
If you start to feel lost in the deluge of possibilities, do not despair. Apply for a free medical consultation by completing our online questionnaire and our specialists will help you to make the right decision.

Laser Surgery in Children
Laser surgery in children was considered a taboo for many years. However, doctors' and parents' opinions changed a few years ago due to the fact that foreign and domestic medical centres achieved excellent results that were published in renowned professional magazines.
Laser surgery is suitable for children with: high inborn, one-sided short-sightedness, more serious plus prescriptions that are difficult to correct with glasses and a substantial difference between left eye and right eye diopters difficult to correct with glasses.
In children over 10 years of age, the process of the surgery is identical with the process in adults. In case of younger children, it is useful if an anesthesiologist is present.
Parents of children younger than 15 are welcome to be present during the surgery.
