Dental crown is an artificial dental restoration that is placed over the remaining part of a tooth. It is an ideal solution for teeth that have been broken or damaged. Dental crown restores size and shape of tooth, improves its appearance and prevents further tooth decay. Dental crowns are also used to hold a dental bridge in place or cover an implant.
Metal-ceramic crown, or 'porcelain fused to metal' crown, is the traditional type of crown in dentistry. It is popular for its low price in combination with strenght and reliability. The metal-ceramic crown consists of a metal interior or base which is fused to porcelain crown of the color and shape needed.
Only 1 visit to Prague is necessary. Minimum stay 5 working days. The preparation works and imprints are done during the 1st visit to the clinic. The crown is made in a dental laboratory which is part of the clinic and delivered to the dentist in 3 - 4 days.
