Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the difference between Intra Lasik Wavefront and Intra Lasik?
  • IntraLASIK Wavefront is laser eye surgery during which the protective corneal flap is created with femtosecond laser and the ZEISS MEL 80 healing excimer laser works on the basis of a DIGITAL MAP OF THE EYE created with aberrometer. The aberrometer measures the optical system of the eye in several hundred points. It can capture and describe even minor irregularities of the optical system of the eye that are, however, very important for the quality of vision and that cannot be expressed by means of dioptric description of the disorder. In addition to the basic disorder, the laser removes these minor irregularities during the actual surgery as well. Names such as Individualized LASIK, Custom Lasik, Wavefront Based Lasik, Customized Treatment etc. are also used to denote IntraLasik Wavefront

IntraLASIK is laser eye surgery during which the protective corneal flap is created with femtosecond laser (femtolasik) but the healing excimer laser works on the basis of dioptric expression of the disorder. The dioptric expression of the disorder is determined on the basis of autorefractometer measurements and on the basis of the subsequent method of subjective refraction by means of examination glasses and optotypes.

Smart tips for your Prague stay

Save on flights by making a booking as soon as your medical appointment is confirmed. Nowadays all airlines give better prices for early bookings and it can be significant if you book your ticket a week or a month before you come to Prague. Praga Medica recommends you to plan the visit in a way that you can book your flight at least 2 weeks in advance.

Unless you are in a rush, plan your stay in Prague outside of main feasts and holidays like Christmas, Easter, 1st May, July-August. Prices of flights rise significantly for these dates and so accommodation in hotels.

Combine your main treatment with supplement treatments such as dentistry or dermatology treatments for a reduced price. Save money on minor medical and beauty procedures that you would undergo in your country anyway. Use your free time to visit a hairdresser, go to a massage or see a cosmetician. You will pay half price or less compared to what you would pay at home.
